Lisa Engebretsen

Lisa joins our firm with a wealth of knowledge and experience that she applies as a passionate advocate for her clients. She was a Legal Fellow for the Civil Beat Law Center for the Public Interest where she drafted pleadings and legal memoranda for cases at the Hawaii Circuit and Appellate courts. She was the Senior Staff Editor for the Asia Pacific Law and Policy Journal at UH, Manoa, and she was the James Hoenig Fellow for the Family Court of the First Circuit of Hawaii.

Lisa also has “real world” experience as a teacher. She earned her Washington State Teaching Certificate in Secondary Education and then taught 10th and 11th grade English at Monroe High School in Washington.

Lisa grew up in Everett, Washington, just north of Seattle. In her free time she enjoys scuba diving, hiking, gardening, and spending time with family in Kona.
