Philip J Dureza

Phil arrived in Hawaii by way of New York City, where he worked with various legal services agencies on immigration and housing issues.  After admission to the Hawaii Bar in 2010, Phil was a staff attorney with the Domestic Violence Action Center where he handled numerous TRO and divorce/custody cases.  He also served as a deputy county attorney for the County of Kauai, and as senior advisor to the University of Hawaii on compliance with gender discrimination laws.  Throughout, he has supported pro bono service through Volunteer Legal Services Hawaii.

Phil joined Farrell & Perrault in 2020, and is the firm’s in-house expert on domestic violence issues.  He brings a reputation for integrity, fairness, and diligent preparation of his cases.

Phil received his law degree from the University of Iowa where he was recognized for public service, and his undergraduate degree from Cornell University.  He is fluent in Ilonggo and conversational in Tagalog. 

In his spare time, Phil enjoys hiking, running, the beach and watching “combat sports.”
